For persons looking for a multicultural experience, I suggest TEQUISQUIAPAN and the state of QUERÉTARO. Two road hours from Mexico City and 3 hours from León, Guanajuato, both with international airports.

Located in a residential compound "fraccionamiento", 15 car minutes from town. Main floor has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, closets, storage spaces inside and out. Queen's bedroom, adjoining bath with tile tub. Diningrm. opens to patio.
Activity zones are conveniently planned around an interior garden allowing one to freely move to any area or room without invading the step-down living area. Full wall bookcase, L-shape chimney, niches, wood decor and paneling white stucco walls, no-paint exteriors.
Kitchen has stove, refrig, breakfast counter & workspace, walk-in pantry and adjoining laundryroom. Third room and bath facilitate clothes changing and showering for pool users; doubles as guestroom.
High ceilings guarantee summertime natural airconditioning, automatic water heater, stationary gas tank, high standard electric-water installations. Baths and kitchens with Talavera tiles, Mexican no-wax ceramic tile floors.
Upstairs has independent entrance; one bedroom, closet, full bath with soaktub/shower, next level has kitchenette & undercounter storage, conversation-dining area plus chimney.
